Oil on panel 42" x 48" 2018 Watershed moments: Personally, this painting is about my part-time-with-benefits job being eliminated at a county board meeting held October 31, 2017. Universally, we are all the crocodile, crying a river about this watershed moment in human history - when our own selfish actions are causing the destruction of our earthly home. But we can't seem to change. Climate refugees in the animal world are on the move. Why wouldn't I have a stubby squid in my shed in WI?

Oil on panel 36" x 36" 2012-2013 (sold) Bower birds are remarkable! Male bower birds are the artists of the bird world. They try to woo a mate through their found object art collections, which they purposefully arrange. They even "paint" their bowers with chewed-up plant material. Everyone should rent the Nova episode DVD called "Flying Casanovas." These are the coolest birds in the world! Thank you, Marilyn, for turning me on to them!
